Skoda has already confirmed that a compact SUV will be produced in India and launched sometime around the middle of 2020. This will use the MQB A0 platform which will have localization levels of around 90%, thereby enabling the company to price the SUV competitively from INR 10 lakhs approximately as per reports. The new car will be shown as a concept globally at the Paris Motor Show this year. It will be named the Skoda Vision RS and will be the smallest SUV in the company’s portfolio worldwide. This will take on the Hyundai Creta and upcoming Tata Harrier among other rivals in its segment. The name of the SUV may start with K and end with Q as per reports. Skoda has already followed this practice for models like the Karoq, Kodiaq and Kamiq. The new concept measures 4356 mm, 1431 and 1810 mm in terms of length, height and width respectively.
