The new Honda CR-V (fifth generation) will reportedly launch in India on October 9 . The company's best-selling SUV, which has clocked more than 9.9 million units globally, will be available here in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The new Honda CR-V will be available with two options - 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel and 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol. The oil-burner has a maximum power of 120 PS @ 4,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 300 Nm @ 2,000 rpm. It comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The diesel variant will be available in 2WD and AWD formats. These have an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.5 kmpl and 18.3 kmpl respectively. The petrol engine offers a maximum power of 154 PS @ 6,500 rpm and a peak torque 189 Nm @ 4,300 rpm. It comes mated to a CVT. It has an ARAI-tested fuel efficiency of 14.4 kmpl.
