Next-generation Swift Unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show - All the Jaw-Dropping Upgrades!

Suzuki, a Japanese automaker, is preparing to unveil a bevy of new cars and SUVs at the Tokyo Motor Show. The next-generation Swift is one of the most anticipated vehicles to be unveiled at the exhibition. The new Swift will have a new look, a new dashboard layout, new features, an improved powertrain, and much more.

Suzuki just released a rendering of the next generation Swift, which boasts a redesigned front bumper, a new grille with massive black surrounds, and redesigned smoked LED headlights with DRLs. The updated fog lamp housing with splitter is located below.

The Suzuki insignia is now located on top of the bonnet, and new 16" dual-tone alloy wheels will be added. The blacked-out ORVMs, roofs, and pillars are further highlights. Additionally, the door panels have distinct character lines going across them. It has a new bumper with a skid plate below and a redesigned tailboard at the back. Other notable features include LED taillights with C-shaped DRLs, reflectors below, and an integrated rear spoiler with a stop lamp.

Inside, the new Swift's dashboard design is inspired by the Baleno, Fronx, and Brezza SUVs. It gets a new dashboard design with a floating 10" infotainment system above elegant sleek AC vents and HVAC controls. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Digital instrument cluster, connected automobile technology, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate controls, and other convenience features are also planned.

The worldwide standard Swift will also get a 360-degree camera and a slew of ADAS technologies like dual sensor brake assistance, adaptive high beam help, driver monitoring system, and collision mitigation braking system. The Indian-spec model is not expected to include all of these features.

There is no information on the engine or gearbox. The International spec-Swift may receive numerous engine options, including a powerful hybrid and a turbo petrol. The new Swift in India will most likely be powered by the same 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA k-series petrol engine generates 89 bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. The motor is combined with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

The next-generation Suzuki Swift is planned to hit global markets in early 2024. In terms of India's launch timing, Maruti Suzuki expects the next-generation Swift to arrive in the second half of 2024 and go on sale shortly after. The current model costs Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), but with new features and styling, the 2024 Swift is projected to cost Rs 6.3 lakh (ex-showroom).
