Hyundai motor india has recentely unvieled its sub-compact SUV, Hyundai Exter.Hyundai exter is the segment first feature suv in the market.Hyundai Exter is directly rival to Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Hyundai Venue.Hyundai india has already commenced the Exter booking before its launch.Hyundai motor india planning to launch this car in july-10 2023.

Engine and Transmission

Hyundai exter come with 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine produces 82bhp of maximum power and 114Nm of peak torque paired with 5-speed manual and automatic transmission.Hyundai also offer CNG petrol engine produces 68bhp of power and 95Nm of torque.

Tata Punch comes with 1.2 litre four cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85bhp of power and 113Nm of torque which is mated with 5-speed manual and automatic transmission.

Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch is almost similar in size when put the two car side by side.Hyundai Exter has 50mm more wheelbase than Tata Punch which is 2445mm.

Features and Specifications

Hyundai Exter offers 8inch HD infotainment display, 4.2inch digital instrument cluster with LCD digital readout for speed and RPM, Voice command operated electric sunroof, dashboard camera, premium leatherate seats, wireless smartphone charging, rear view camera and sensors. On the other hand Tata Punch offers 7 inch infotainment display, 4.2 inch MID with analogue speedometer, cruise control, electrically folding ORVMs, climate control, rear view camera.

Safety features

In terms of safety, Hyundai Exter comes with 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, hill start assist, TPMs sensors, burglar alarm, three point seat-belts.
On other side, Tata Punch has twin airbags, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD like safety features.

Price

EX-shoroom price of Tata Punch ranges from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.47 lakh according to variant you choose.On other hand Hyundai has not reveal Exter price yet but expected price start at Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
