Maruti Engage MPV spotted testing outside the company-plant.

Maruti Suzuki india is working on it’s premium MPV Engage based on Toyota Innova Hycross. Company has placed this car as flagship model of company. Engage will be manufactured by Toyota, supplied Maruti Suzuki and sold via it’s NEXA dealership as part of agreement with Toyota. The new Maruti Engage will be offered in a 7/8 seate configuration like Toyota hycross.

The new Engage MPV will be set apart from the Toyota Hycross on which it is based. Engage MPV gets a new grille with honey-comb mesh designand chrome accents. It also gets two chrome bars positioned across the grille extending to the headlamps at both the ends. Revised front bumper design, LED headlamps & taillamps with 3-point DRLs , Squared wheel arches , Blackout pillars , alloy wheels , Distinctive body cladding .Take a look at Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV recent spy-shots while testing MPV outside the company plant.

 Interior of the Engage MPV will be the same as Toyota Innova Hycross like comfortable seating with leather upholstery & powered ottoman seats, 8-way adjustable driver-seat with memory function , 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system , 7-inch TFT instrument cluster , Multi-zone air-conditioning , 360deg camera , Panaromic sunroof.

In terms of safety, Maruti Suzuki engage MPV gets features like 6 SRS-airbags, front and rear parking sensors , hill-start assist , vehicle stability control , tyre pressure monitoring systems & ADAS.

The new Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV will borrow its engine line-up from the Toyota Innova hycross include both petrol and strong hybrid petrol options. Hycross produces power from 2.0 litre petrol engine making 173hp and 209Nm of torque. There is also 2.0 litre petrol hybrid engine churns out 187 hp power and 188Nm of torque equipped with a 168 cells Ni-MH battery. The MPV has 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The Maruti Engage Compete with Mahindra XUV-700, Tata Safari, MG Hector plus, Toyota Hycross. Maruti Engage is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
