Mercedes AMG launched the new SL55 in india at Rs 2.35crore.This roadster comes with 2+2 seating layout and fabric roof.Mercedes SL55 brought in as a CBU in india.7th generation of SL technically advance than S-cabriolet , the AMG GT roadster and sixth generation SL in the german brand's global line-up.

The SL55 is 4705mm long, 1915mm wide, 1359mm in height which increase of 88mm, 38mm, 44mm.The wheelbase too has been extended by 117mm to 2700mm to accomodate the new rear seats.Design of Mercedes SL55 include large panamericana front grille, angular LED headlights, a long bonnet with 2 power domes, quad exhaust, 20inch alloys as standard.There is option for 21inch alloy with different design.

Inside, the mercedes SL55 have 11.9 inch vertically oriented display, which can be adjusted at 12 to 32 deg acording to seats.Display is paired with 12.3inch LCD driver display and optional heads-up display.It runs latest generation Mbux operating system which offers Bespoke AMG and soft top display modes.Buyers have 5 options for upholestry design : Black nappa leather and microfibre with red stiching, Black nappa leather, Sienna brown nappa leather, Truffle brown nappa leather and black nappa leather and microfibre with yellow stiching.Thre are also two interior trim options : aluminium and carbon fibre and two seats options : AMG sports seats, AMG performance seats.

Powertrain

AMG SL 55 is powerd by 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine makes 476hp and 700Nm of torque mated with 9-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all 4-wheel through Merc's 4Matic+ systems.The SL55 claims 0-100kmph in 3.9 sec and top speed of 295kph.The SL also gets rear axle steering as standard.
