Triumph Speed 400

Triumph Speed 400 is launched in india after global debut at priced at Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom).Triumph has launched its most affordable motorcycle in the indian market.This new product will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto in maharastra, india.It rivals the likes of the Harley-Davidson X440 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 in the Indian market.

The speed400 is built around a hybrid spine, tubular steel that is bolted to the rear subframe and twin-sided cast aluminium swingarm. The suspension tasks are handeled by 43mm, upside-down, big piston front forks and a preload-adjustable, gas-charged, rear monoshock.The braking setup has a 300mm single disc with a four-piston radial calliper at the front and a 230mm single rotor with a two-piston fixed calliper at the back.This motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 176kg (kerb).

This new entery level triumph is powered by liquid cooled 398cc single cylinder petrol engine produces 40hp at 8000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6500rpm mated with 6-speed gearbox.The gearbox benefits from a slipper and assist clutch mechanism.

The triumph 400 comprise a speed Twin-inspired design. It has a round headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, Full LED lighting, ride by wire throttle, a curvy fuel tank with knee recesses, a step-up seats, side-slung exhaust, a switchable traction control systems, dual-channel ABS and anti-theft immobiliser as standard.The Instrument cluster comprises a large analogue speedometer and LCD screen that displays a tachometer, fuel range remaining and a gear indicators.It also boasts classic Triumph engine profile with a triangle badge, finned cylinder head, exhaust header clamps.The Triumph is available with Carnival Red with Phantom black, Caspien Blue with Strom Grey, Phantom Black with Storm Grey.
