Great initiative taken by the minister of road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari officially launching the bharat New Car assesment Programme (Bharat NCAP)in India to improve road safety.Aim of this initiative to enhance the safety of vehicle upto 3.5 tones in weights.

Indian customers will have access to information about crash safety of the vehicles which are available in the market.Now, indian customers have a powerfull tool to make decision when choosing a vehicle with safety ratings.

Car Manufacturer have a option to send theier vehicle volutarily for crash testing, conducted in accordance with the rigorous AIS (Automotive Industry standard)197.The car will assigned safety ratings for Adult (AOP)and Child Occupant protection (COP).These safety ratings are very important for car buyers and it is easy to compare different cars according to its rating.

The Bharat NCAP is expected to encourage car manufacturer to evolve their vehicle design to improve vehicle safety on indian roads.This program will place the Indian cars with Global safety standard.Now, car manufacturer have opportunity to put their car in global market.So, this will helps to safer roads and vehicles across the nation.
