Lexus GX SUV globally unveiled , launch set to early next year.

Lexus has introduced a new-gen version of its Lexus GX SUV globally, with a launch set to early next year.

The new Lexus GX is based on platform that could support new electric vehicles from the brand. The third-generation Lexus GX gets a masculine look with modern touch. The Lexus GX is based on a body-on-frame chassis.

The new Lexus GX looks boxy and has an upright boot design and crisp geometrical proportions. Sleek LED headlamps and connected tail-lamps gives modern look. The large spindle grille from previous gen version makes way for a slightly smaller , blackout unit. SUV gets huge wheel-arches with plastic cladding, big 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain rubber.22 inch alloy-wheel is available in top-end trim.

The all-new Lexus GX has all black theme interior gives luxurious and sporty vibe. It has 14-inch infotainment display and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Lexus GX offroad

The Lexus GX draws power from 3.5 litre twin-turbo V6 engine with 10-speed automatic gearbox that belts out 349bhp of maximum power and 649Nm of peak torque, 2.4 litre turbocharged hybrid engine is also available. Both engines come paired with 4WD technology. The SUV is highly capable off-roader is a full-time 4WD with low-range gearbox and multi-terrain select modes. The new GX gets a special seats that minimise the head-loss while driving offroad , while all-terrain tyres improves the driving performance.

Most obvious rival of Lexus GX is the Land Rover defender which has offroad ability with luxury.
