The EQE 500 4Matic SUV from Mercedes-Benz has been introduced in India for Rs 1.39 crore. The business decided to solely import the top-spec model of the ordinary SUV rather than the more potent AMG-spec EQE SUVs to the nation. After the EQB SUV and the EQS sedan, the EQE 500 is the third Mercedes EV in India.

The Mercedes EQE SUV retains the streamlined looks and precise body contours of the brand's other EVs. Aerodynamic wheels and a black-out front grille that is sealed off are practical design elements that are carried over from other EVs. The 20-inch wheels and air suspension on the EQE SUV allow for a 25mm ride height increase. The EQE SUV is a big car with dimensions of 4,863 mm in length, 1,685 mm in height, and 3,030 mm in wheelbase.The suv is available in nine colour scheme. The EQE suv gets rectangular headlamps, flared wheel-arches, connected LED taillamps with sleek in design, LED lightbar in front that connect headlamps eachside, aerodynamically formed, body-colored air intake inserts, big Mercedes Benz logo at the centre of the grille.

The 56-inch Hyperscreen display from the brand is standard equipment inside the EQE 500 SUV. On the dashboard, there are three screens that are joined together by a thick piece of toughened glass. As with the passenger display and the central infotainment unit, the screens can be utilized for entertainment as well as information presentation in the case of the digital instruments panel. The infotainment system runs the latest MBUX-operating systems.The EQE has amenities like ADAS, a Burmester sound system with 15 speakers, for a cabin high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter, and front seat massaging features.The suv also gets multizone climate control, controls on steering wheel, electrically adjustable seats, leatherette upholestery, ambient lighting, 9-airbags, ABS with EBD and traction control, lane keep assist, active brake assist, active steering assist, blind spot monitoring, emergency stop assist.The EQE suv gets first in segment 360 degree transparent bonnet technology.

The dual motor, all-wheel drive configuration, and off-road package are standard on the Mercedes EQE 500 SUV. Although it comes with an 11kW AC charger, the SUV's 90.56kWh battery has a claimed WLTP range of 550 km and can support up to 170 kW of DC fast charging. It has a top speed of 210 km/h and is claimed to sprint from 0 to 100 kph in 4.9 seconds thanks to its engines' 408 horsepower and 858 Nm of torque. The paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel can switch between three different regeneration settings. Mercedes will also provide a 10-year battery warranty with the EQE 5004matic SUV.

The Mercedes EQE SUV will be sold in India as a CBU and competes with other high-end electric SUVs such as the recently released Audi Q8 e-tron (Rs 1.14 crore–1.26 crore), BMW iX (Rs 1.21 crore), and Jaguar I-Pace (Rs 1.20 crore).
