Volvo has launch all-electric C40 Recharge in india with starting price of Rs 61.25 lakh ex-showroom,india. Booking window for Volvo C40 recharge is open for the customers and deliveries are set to begin in next week.This will be the second EV in Volvo's India line-up, which intends to push its EV penetration to 35% by next year.Volvo C40 Recharge compete with the likes of Kia EV6 and Hyundai ioniq 5.The c40 recharge is Rs 4.35 lakh more costlier than its SUV conterpart.

Volvo C40 Recharge is similar to XC40 recharge but from rear the roofline has a coupe-like design and a high raked rear windshield.Volvo c40 recharge has redesigned tailgate and redesigned tailamps assembly. Taillamps are slim and have a wider wrap-around effect and get a new reverse light. LED also protrude onto the tailgate  and overall design gives C40 Recharge more wider from the rear. Window line of C40 Recharge has also been redesigned due to the slopping roofline. Volvo C40 Recharge has 2 spoiler one on the boot lid which is black out and one on the roof with a unique twin-pod design to improve aerodynamics.Bumper of the car remain unchanged.Volvo C40 exclusively gets pixel LED headlights that you'll not find in any other Volvo in India, yet.Volvo C40 gets Thor's hammer LED DRLs, dual tone 19-inch alloy wheels, plastic cladding on lower sides to enhance the SUV character.

Volvo claims interior of the SUV is completely leather-free, brand's aim to eliminate leather from all its electric car by 2025 to resuce animal harm and carbon emission.

Volvo C40 recharge is based on the CMA platform in India gets a dual motor setup on each axle with 78kWh battery-pack with the claimed range of 530km on a single charge on the WLTP cycle or 683km as per ICAT.Two motors combined produce 408hp of power and 660Nm of torque.Volvo claims it can reach from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds. The C40 recharge gets 150kW DC charger that can recharge its battery from 0-100 percent in 27 minutes.
