BMW india has introduce new variant of 2-series gran coupe, M Performance Edition.Booking of the limited edition started through BMW official website for an amount of Rs 1.50 lakh.This car is based on BMW 220i variant.This variant will be launched in india on 7 September.However , BMW India did not specify the exact number of units of the car that would be offerd.

Key features of BMW M Performance Edition will include M Performance elements all around the exterior of the car, a new radiator grille  with diamond studding and bronze surrounds, bronze surrounds near foglamp housing, m badging on the fenders, M sport alloy wheels, M performance Alcantara gear selector and M performance parts. Car is excusilvely available in Black Sapphire metallic color option.

Under the hood, BMW 2 series gran coupe M Performance edition  comes with 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine generating 176ps of power at 5100rpm and 280Nm of torque between 1350rpm and 4600rpm which is paired with a sport DCT transmission, which let the sedan reach from 0-100km/h in just 7.1 second.It is available in two petrol variants : M Sport and M Sport pro. It is also available in 2-litre  diesel engine  generating 188bhp of power and 400Nm of torque.
